Sorry State of Affairs

Just finished reading John Grisham's book "The Verdict" and am more convinced than ever that politics is broken. "We" the people are the only ones who can fix it but I don't think "we" care enough and/or realize just how much we are manipulated by special interest groups on either side of the isle. I know the book is only a novel, but my experience as a candidate for local office, as a member of the county GOP executive committee, and as a friend/supporter of friends who have run for office up to state level confirms most of the negative aspects of current campaign realities.
